Country of production :At Plaids Cocooning, we believe in responsible production that respects our environment. That's why all our fleece and faux fur accessories, from hot water bottles to cushions and chokers, are made from fabric scraps left over from the manufacture of our plaids. Nothing is lost, everything is transformed!

This approach enables us to limit our environmental impact by reducing the waste of raw materials. In this way, we give a second life to these precious pieces of fleece, while offering you soft, warm, quality accessories. At present, our accessories are manufactured in the same place as our plaids, in China, and more precisely in Changzhou. We work in partnership with weavers who must meet OEKO TEX criteria. This standard imposes strict norms on all technical production practices that respect the environment and people. This decision, though difficult, is motivated by technical and financial constraints. We don't yet have the means to set up large-scale French production to meet our quality and price requirements. But we're working on it.

However, we are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of this delocalized production. This is why we have opted for liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping, a cleaner alternative to traditional fuel oil, considerably reducing CO2 emissions and other pollutants. What's more, we limit our shipments to twice a year, to further reduce our carbon footprint.

For our faux fur coats, it's best to take them to the dry cleaner for gentle cleaning without damaging the fibers. If you prefer to wash your coat at home, program your washing machine on a delicate cycle, without fabric softener, and cold if possible.

Our little tip: if you get a small stain on your coat, prefer to wash it by hand in clear water. To preserve your faux fur for as long as possible, avoid washing it too regularly, as this will alter the quality of the material.
