Product history

The Ours Blanc collection is an evolution of our cosy models: as soft as ever, but with a different design. For this model, we stayed true to our values by working on the material and the visuals. The result? A warm, elegant plaid and fleece bedspread that brings light to your home with its bright white color.

Our two Ours Blanc fleece models have been designed in two thicknesses, with 80% recycled polyester and 20% polyester, to limit their environmental impact. In our quest for quality and excellence, we favor local materials (wool from the Pyrenees) and recycled materials (polyester) for our collections.

The total weight of 630g/m² makes these two Ours Blanc models real cocoons of warmth in which to curl up on chilly evenings.

At Plaid Cocooning, every design tells a story. This one was designed as a tribute to polar bears. The white recalls the ice floe, and the material evokes polar bear fur to highlight the beauty and fragility of the environment that surrounds us.

Country of production :At Plaids Cocooning, we strive to combine comfort and respect for the environment in every one of our products. That's why we're transparent about our production and transport choices. Currently, our fleece and faux fur plaids are made in China, more precisely in Changzhou. We work in partnership with weavers who must meet OEKO TEX criteria. This standard imposes strict norms on all technical production practices with respect for the environment and people. This decision, though difficult, is motivated by technical and financial constraints. We don't yet have the means to set up large-scale French production to meet our quality and price requirements.

However, we are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of this delocalized production. That's why we've opted for liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping, a cleaner alternative to traditional fuel oil, considerably reducing CO2 emissions and other pollutants. What's more, we limit our shipments to twice a year, to further reduce our carbon footprint.

We are actively developing solutions to bring our production back to France as soon as possible. In the meantime, we do our utmost to offer you quality products, while respecting our beautiful planet.

Preserving its softness

Fleece throws (single or double layer) can be machine cleaned and are very easy to maintain. For the entire fleece range, opt for a program at 30°C, with very little detergent and never fabric softener.

Then let your blanket dry in the open air or put it in the dryer for a few moments to restore volume to the fibers. Please note, however, that using the dryer amplifies the phenomenon of static electricity.

Our dream? To create a plaid that captures the essence and beauty of animal fur, without any cruelty. A plaid that's truer than nature, but made from 100% synthetic fur, and therefore vegan fur. Today, this dream has become reality. Our Frisson brown imitation fur throw is proof that it's possible to combine elegance and ethics. 1. How do I care for and wash my faux fur rug?

Our faux fur plaids are designed to last and remain soft over the years. To preserve their fluffy look and shine, we recommend machine-washing at low temperature (30° maximum), using a delicate cycle and mild detergent. Avoid fabric softener and tumble-drying, which can damage the fiber. Instead, dry flat in the open air, to preserve all the puffiness of the faux fur. By following these simple steps, your plaid will remain as sumptuous and enveloping as on the first day.

2. Is a faux fur rug really warm?

Yes, and that's its greatest asset. Thanks to their double thickness and their high grammageOur faux fur plaids provide dense, enveloping warmth, incomparable to that of a classic plaid. The long hair traps air and creates a cocooning barrier, perfect for winter evenings. That's what makes these plaids so spectacular, yet so effective at warming the atmosphere.

3. What's the difference between a faux fur rug and a fleece rug?

Visit fleece plaid is lightweight, practical and easy to take anywhere, perfect for on-the-go cocooning. The faux fur plaidis in a different league: denser, bulkier and more spectacular, it transforms a room as much as it warms it.
